My doctor told me there is no weight loss pills on the market?

And I am not relying on pills I do diet and excersize, this would just be additonal help.

Did Adderall used to be prescribed as a weight loss prescription?

I heard that the prescription drug Adderall (commonly used to treat ADD/ADHD) used to be prescribed as a weight loss medication. I believe this was done in the early 1990s but they no longer prescribe it for that use. Does anyone have a report or story online from a reliable source explaining what I’m talking about? I’m just wondering why it is not used as a weight loss prescription (if it ever, really was). Thanks!

Why is amphetamine no longer used for weight loss?

It is just because of the abuse potential, because I’m sure it’s not that bad. Used for weight loss, it probably would be more effective and easy than any other treatment. I can’t believe they’d rather cut you open and mess with your stomach instead of just give you a prescription for amphetamine. I take the stuff for ADHD and it doesn’t seem like anything anybody would want to abuse.
